New year, new projects
It’s far too late to say “Happy New Year” I know, but better late than never, right…?
2011 went out in spectacular style down at the Garden Island Navy base (and not a drunken sailor to be seen). 2012 is already resembling a whirlwind, with new crafty projects in full swing – the first of which I’m hoping isn’t a tad too ambitious, but one I’ve been meaning to tackle for…oh…at least 3 years. Better late than never indeed.
This dress has seen many a party and picnic, and the time has come to relegate it to the scrap heap. Not before copying the pieces onto pattern paper in the hope of reassembling it in a suitably sublime fabric…now if only I wasn’t so fussy when it came to fabric shopping.
Crafty Kittens Club has also fired up again, the first night for the year involved a fine selection of Zumbo treats, devoured in a matter of minutes. My favourite was without doubt ‘Grandma’s Soap’ – blueberry compote, fresh blueberries, lavender chantilly & almond cème…a sensory delight.
