My visits here have been few and far between, I know. Changes in my working life have kept me on my toes, and I’ve been trying to find the right balance between work and play. Time management is the key of course, and I’ve been writing some rather long lists. Craft activity has also waned, my group charity knitting project is snugly wrapped and waiting patiently for me to resume those clicking needles. At least the weather here will soon be suited to woolly projects. Good riddance Summer!
I did manage a much needed revitalising weekend away to Melbourne this month – revitalising despite punishing temperatures, it was the perfect mix of exhibitions, shopping, good food, catch-ups with friends, and even a little bit of sport (not usually my bag). I agreed to attend a soccer match in return for a shoe shopping expedition, and was pleasantly surprised when both sides of the agreement were successful, and enjoyable. The crowds at the soccer were as captivating as the skills of star player Shinji Ono, juiced-up supporters providing non-stop shirt-off flare-throwing entertainment. It may be the first and only game I attend.
Sustainable Living Festival in Melbourne CBD.
I do have some exciting news that I hope to share with you soon…I can’t reveal anything yet, but I’m looking forward to this year being creatively challenging.
