Craft for a cause

Knitting for the needy is a project my craft group commenced prior to Christmas. Each of us has been slowly knitting 2 metre strips from our scrap wool, some of us knitting more slowly than others…aherm. But we’re now moving closer to joining up our strips to form a cosy blanket for someone less fortunate than us. It’s going to be a beauty! I still have a way to go, as you can see…I’m only at the 55cm mark. I’ve moved the knitting bag closer to my favourite couch position, and will knit whenever I get a moment. We should be finished this by the start of Winter…Winter this year, that is. I had better get busy!

My slow but steady progress. 55cm and counting.

knittingforcharityThe start of our project…many months ago.

janineknitsJanine’s finished 2 metre strip – she does finish projects, despite the title of her blog.

squeelsknitsKate’s 80cm strip. Loving the red in this one!

CKknitsCK’s 90cm strip…progress thwarted by a naughty kitten.
