New Zealand’s South Island is truly spectacular, and so different to Australia – the landscape, the birds, the climate…stunning. Go there if you can, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve had such a great break, and now it’s back to reality. When my workload settles down a little, I plan to sign up for a course in graphic and web design. You’re never too old to learn new tricks, and I feel if I don’t explore this, I will forever regret it. Wish me luck!

West Coast

A few more holiday snaps, this time from the west coast.

San Francisco – a wonderfully eclectic city. I was lucky enough to meet some online friends for the first time and stay in their beautiful home (that’s not them in the picture above, just to clarify).

Yosemite – Ansel Adams would be proud. Stunning, I’d love to go back and camp there for a while.

Paris, Vegas. There’s the natural beauty of the Yosemite, and then…there’s Vegas.

Rock of Ages premier on Hollywood Boulevard. Of course, I had to come home and see the movie. Stacee Jaxx…yowsers…has Katie Holmes lost her mind?

Sunset Boulevard. I didn’t spot any stars, however I did stroll across Johnny Depp on the walk of fame, which I figure is as close as I’ll ever get.

East coast

I’m back from my blogging hiatus with boxes in storage, some leftover American dollars and the job pages bookmarked.

Two and a bit weeks, several states, and a swift return home to new adventures.

Here are a few pics – yes, instagrams again – I’ll admit that I’m really enjoying this app! See you over there? You’ll find me under kittycollects.

Can I please relocate to New York? What a great city!

Washington – the home of museums, monuments and memorials.

Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. Apparently the first person to survive a trip over the falls in a barrel in 1901 was a 63yo widowed school teacher and her black cat. Legend has it that the cat emerged from the barrel with white fur.
