Five days till Christmas, just enough time to whip up a little Christmas tote! One lucky recipient of my book did exactly that, taking the ‘Spare Pair of Shoes Tote’ and converting it into a Christmas sack for someone special, simply by choosing a festive combination of fabrics and embellishing it with her own designs.
Below is the original project, and Judy’s Christmas sack. Very clever, well done Judy! May it bring much joy and happiness to Indie this Christmas.
I’ve also included the instructions for you, should you wish to make your own (click the image to enlarge). Please send me a photo if you do, I’d love to see your creation!
Merry Christmas everyone!
It’s always great when a magazine features one your projects! Mollie Makes printed my lunch tote in Issue Thirty-Nine, it’s nestled in amongst much crafty goodness. The magazine is so well designed, fresh and engaging…I may well become a subscriber.
Aaaaand, it’s almost Christmas! Looking for the perfect crafty stocking-filler? You’ll find this project and more in my book Totes Amaze. It can be found at all good bookstores, check out the link in the sidebar.
Plastic bags were outlawed in my city some years ago, so a lightweight tote is an essential item when out and about. The practical little Pocket Shopper I made for my DIY totes book has become the perfect shopping companion!
The Pocket Shopper folds away into neat little 5.5″ square, and as a bonus, the pocket doubles as a handy place to stash small stuff like keys and sunglasses when the bag is in use. It’s really easy to make too…in fact, I might just make some more!
